The "HYDRASET"
consists
of three
Components
POWER UNIT
The Hydraulic
Power Unit that operates the cylinders and
the hydraulic
motors is a free standing unit which can be located anywhere that is convenient
to the equipment. It contains an oil reservoir, motor and pump, hydraulic
accumulator, oil filter, solenoid valves, float switches for low oil level
indication, pressure relief valve, control panel, pressure dials and the
casement.

HYDRAULIC MOTOR
Two hydraulic
motors are mounted opposite to each other
on the
bosses of the adjustment ring. Each motor has a pinion
gear that
engages with a sprocket welded to the adjustment cap.
The discharge
setting of the bowl is set by rotating the sprocket gear in either direction
to the required opening. The bowl may be
rotated
freely for removal or installation in the crusher.
HYDRAULIC
MOTORS
AND
AUTOMATIC BRAKE
The above
photo shows one of two hydraulic motors and gear
reducers
mounted on an adjustment ring boss. The motor is anchored on the adjacent
boss of the adjustment ring.
One of
the two motors has an automatic brake which is
continuously
applied. When the motors are activated, brake and clamping cylinders are
released, and reactivated instantly when the motors stop. The gear reducers,
although compact, are the most powerful available and give a far greater
torque than the Ram-Type or other similar gear reducers.
CLAMPING
CYLINDERS
The Clamping Cylinders come in two models:
Normal HEAVY DUTY, which is used on the 4 ft., 4-1/4 ft., and 5-1/2 ft.
EXTRA-HEAVY
DUTY is used on the 7ft Standard and
Shorthead.
EXTRA-HEAVY DUTY
cylinder incorporates a full floating piston rod design which eliminates
any potential for extreme side loads on the cylinder, thus extending its
life. The design also eliminates
the need
for self aligning, spherical washers.
HPZ
has overcome the problem of oil leakage from
worn
rings by
using polyurethane cups on the piston and
rod seals.
Glass filled nylon wear rings, which have exceptional load capacity, are
used to support the piston rod. These wear rings and the polyurethane wiper/scraper
protect against any dirt intrusion into the cylinder..
Installation
Hydraset
can be supplied with a fabricated adjustment cap and
with all
cylinders and hoses mounted ready for installation. Simply weld a guide
ring on the adjustment ring, connect the hoses to the power pack, connect
to an electrical source and the unit is ready to operate.
